Benihana Birthday 2007 - Page 1

January 29, 2007

My dear Future Intended woke me up this morning so I wouldn't sleep half of the day away lol...

After the morning grog finally let up (as in groggy, not pirate brew) I was ready to go do something. I didn't really have anything planned for the day, but I figured it would be fitting to head to Disneyland. tee hee. I went to go take a shower and he made me some coffee.

(In the mail last week, we received the contract from Disney Weddings and it needed to be signed and returned with the deposit to hold our date and go on to the next steps. It needed to be returned by the 5th of February to keep our date held. I suggested we just go and get it handled and we could have lunch at Downtown Disney or something.)

When I got out of the shower I noticed he had an incense burning at our altar. He doesn't normally do the morning incense thing, so I figured it was for a prayer to Divine Assistance for it to be a good day for me, which I thought was just beautiful. I didn't tell him I noticed the incense going. I didn't want to draw attention to it because I felt it was something very personal, so I moved on and sat at my desk and drank the coffee he made for me and there was a card in an envelope sitting at my desk.

I asked if it was a good time to open it and he said, "sure!" so I opened up the envelope.

When I read the front I was so surprised and at the same time I got all twitchy, because seeing the word, "wife" or hearing it from him makes me twitch like Bugs Bunny when he gets all dented up. I'm not used to it at all. lol. Well of course the water-works started flowing and my eyes got all welled up. I opened the card...

...Okay, so after reading the inside of the card I was totally crying...

I told him I'd prefer to open gifts later in the day, and I'd probably do that after dinner.

So we grabbed the wedding contract stuff from Disney Weddings, and signed the paperwork. He wrote out the check for the retainer/deposit and we headed on over to the Resort Office where our coordinator, Cynthia was working.

This photo was taken after the paperwork was all turned in. It's now officially-official that our wedding will be held at Disneyland. *thud* :)

After the photo we headed into Disneyland Theme Park. As I handed the person my Annual Pass Card and he passed it through the scanner there was a big beeping alarm that sounded and the attendant said, "Happy Birthday!" I was surprised and tickled by that. lol. The gentleman said to head to City Hall on Main Street to pick up my birthday sticker. Huh?

Okay, so we get into Disneyland and head over to City Hall. There they gave me a Happy Birthday button with my name on it and then handed me the phone where Goofy gave me a birthday message and sang happy birthday to me. lol. OMG I was so red and embarrassed. I put the button on though, and we went outside. Kelly was going to take a picture of me when someone walking by asked if we'd like our picture together.

Well sure! Unfortunately the photo turned out blurry. Still nice though. I don't have many pictures with my honey until just recently.

Everywhere I went, people that worked there were wishing me a happy birthday. It was coming from all over the place. It was pretty fun. :) We had some other photos taken at the front of the park.

My dear man took a picture of my button. Have some cupcakes! lol

We went to California Adventure and went on a ride there that neither of us had been on. "Soaring over California" I think it was called. What a rush that ride was! It's a ride almost like Star Tours except you're suspended in the air and flying. It was totally amazinggggg and really fun for both of us.

We had lunch and then returned back to Disneyland (from California Adventure side) so that I could go on Pirates of the Caribbean. There was no wait. ^.^

As we sat in the seats and the ride was ready to go, more happy birthday wishes came from cast members and they waved goodbye to me lol. I just couldn't tell you how much I was tickled by that stuff.

After riding in PotC I wanted to get home and take a nap lol. We left the park and came back here and I've been working on pictures and getting this update written while the main squeeze is napping. Next in the works is to go have a nice dinner somewhere. Today is turning out to be wonderful and just...awesome. :)
